Cancellation policy per tenant
Your rules on when a cancel is free — and when a fee applies.
Each rental company sets a free-cancellation window (hours before pickup) and a cancellation fee percentage. Clients see the policy at booking time; the fee is computed automatically on cancel.
- Free-before-hours, e.g. 24 hours before pickup
- Fee percent, e.g. 20% of rent amount if cancelled late
- Applied automatically on client-side cancel
- Returned in the API response so the UI can show it
How it works
Tenant rows carry cancellation_free_before_hours and cancellation_fee_percent. On cancel we compute hours-until-pickup and apply the fee if below the free window.
